1- Whether it's for an administrative or a student record, send an email to archives@uottawa.ca.  For emergency, please call #5750 and leave the information listed below.  Also be prepared to pick-up the file in person the same day the request was made:

        • your name and surname, unit, telephone number and whether you want to borrow a file or have it transferred to you ;
        • file title, box number, or
        • name and surname, student identification number, date of birth, and box number.

2- Requested files are delivered by internal mail ; generally, you should receive them within fourty-eight hours of the request.

3- For control purposes, you must sign the white sheet of the Request Form, which accompanies the records and return it to the Archives as soon as you receive your records.

4- The files must be returned without undue delay. If you decide to keep them for a long time, you must notify us to avoid receiving monthly reminders.

* You can always come to the Archives to consult your records. A reading room is available to the University staff during regular hour. Before coming, please make an appointment with the Archivist or the Technician.
