Histoire administrative
Créé par le Sénat le 19 mai 1972, le Comité d'étude sur l'enseignement de la bibliothéconomie était chargé d'examiner l'avenir de l'École de bibliothécaires, à la lumière des besoins de la population active et de la présence d'autres écoles en Ontario et au Québec. Dans son rapport au Comité exécutif du Sénat, le 26 février 1973, le Comité recommandait la fermeture de l'École de bibliothécaires et son remplacement par une autre école.

Administrative history
Established by the Senate on May 19, 1972, the Committee on Library Science Education examined the future of the Library School in light of the needs of the workforce and the presence of other schools in Ontario and Quebec. In its report to the Executive Committee of the Senate on February 26, 1973, the Committee recommended the closure of the existing School of Library Science and its replacement by a reorganized school.
