Administrative history

Thomas G. Feeney is born in 1924. Professor Feeney joins the University of Ottawa as Director of Common Law courses in 1957. He becomes the first dean of Common Law Section in 1962 and continued in that role until 1973. Feeney is held as a scholarly author in particular for his Canadian Law of wills, used as a textbook and reference in law schools throughout Canada. He died on July 17, 1988.

Scope and content

The Thomas-G.-Feeney Fonds contains an agenda, newsletters and press clippings relative to the career of Thomas G. Feeney and the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa.

Immediate source of acquisition: Gift by Joseph Roach in 1990.
