Administrative history

The Department of Maintenance and Development was established in 1967 and came under the supervision of the Vice-Rector (Administration). The Department became the Maintenance Services later in 1967 and the Physical Plant Services in 1973. Three divisions form the Services: Maintenance and Operations, Protection, and Planning and Construction. They are responsible for housekeeping, architectural trades and technical projects, grounds and transport, the Power Plant, protection, energy conservation, engineering, and planning and construction for the University. In 1990, the Service's name was changed for Physical Resources Services. In 2014, the Service's name was changed once more for Facilities.

Scope and content

Annual reports (1966-1974)subject files, specifications booksand logbooks. The fonds also contains photographs and architectural plans of buildings of the University.

Restrictions: Documents containing confidential and personal information are restricted to consultation and reproduction. The records are submitted to the Copyright's Act. restricted.

Dossiers internes sur les fonctions du Service des bâtiments et terrains. Comprend des rapports annuels (1966-1974)des dossiers sujets, des cahiers de charges, et des registres. Le fonds contient également quelque, photographies et dessins architecturaux des immeubles de l'Université.
