Administrative history
This committee was established by the Senate on August 6, 1968. Two outside experts, acceptable to the Senate, Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa, and the Students' Union of the University of Ottawa were chosen to investigate the troubled Faculty of Social Sciences. Edward D. Maher of the University of New Brunswick and administrative structures of the Faculty of Sciences, the role of the Faculty in the University, and the interactions between and among departments, staff, and students. They presented two interim reports to the Senate during the course of 1969.

Minutes, correspondence, memorandum and the second interim report of Gosselin and Maher.
