Administrative history

A committee was established by the Senate on February 14, 1966, to study the possible liaison between the Faculty of Theology of Saint Paul University and the Department of Religious Studies. It recommended the creation of another committee to study the Christian character of the University and the teaching of religious studies. This recommendation was accepted by the Senate. The Committee Studying the Christian Character of the University of Ottawa submitted its final report on February 31969The Senate agreed to have the report distributed to the University community. The Committee was abolished following the unanimous approval of the report by the Senate on April 14, 1969.

Minutes of the Committee on Relations between the Faculty of Theology and the Department of Religious Studies (1966) and the Senate Committee Studying the Christian Character of the University of Ottawa (1967-1969).
